Through the Uncharted Abyss
In the depths where
hidden shadows coil,
Where dread darkness
speaks in whispers cold,
I’ve waded through the
endless sunken soil,
The pit where fear and
grief openly unfold.
The contemptuous weight
of guilt, a crushing shroud,
Condemnation’s harsh
decree,
Critics’ voices, voices
painfully loud,
Their echoes haunt the
soul’s decree.
I’ve seen the abyss’s
infinitely hollow face,
The demons draped in
most subtle guise,
They feast on every
hidden place,
On deepest fears and
tangled lies.
The questions rise like
storm-tossed seas,
Will I ever find the
shore?
Will life restore its
shattered keys,
Or leave me yearning,
evermore?
But in this void, where
light seems lost,
I felt a hand that
reached beyond,
Through every scar and
tempest tossed,
A grace that calls to
hearts once fond.
I did not flee the pit so grim,
But climbed through
pain’s relentless night,
And faced the shadows
grim and dim,
Till dawn broke through
with piercing light.
Forgiveness found me in
the deep,
And mercy mended all
the cracks,
With truth, my soul
began to leap,
Emerging from the
darkened tracks.
Oh weary warrior,
committed, stand,
Your not unscathed, but
whole,
Audaciously face, once
again, all within you command,
With a heart that knows
the pain,
And a spirit freed, a
mended soul,
In the light of love’s
sweet gain.
To you I reach with
hands outstretched,
In the darkness, know
this truth,
That even here, where
fears are etched,
He walks beside us,
with His proof.
Come! Please! Walk with
me through shadowed days,
Step by step, we’ll
find the way,
In His presence, where
mercy stays,
There’s hope that
lights the darkest fray.
Rest! Beneath His
pinions of grace,
Surrender! His words
renew your soul,
For even in the deepest
place,
His love can make the
broken whole
