The Storied Path of Wisdom Told
The road to wisdom is a
winding, fragile life-thread,
Stretching far beyond
the horizon’s edge,
A path that seems
endless, though you tread,
Full of hope and
dreams, reaching out, it’s still a pledge.
Even as you think
you've come to rest,
The way unfurls,
roughly hewn, reaching toward the skies,
A path of trials, as if
sandpaper, where the soul’s confessed,
And tears and lessons
weave their rough disguise.
You meet yourself
again, your life laid bare and true,
Where all your ravenous
sins demand their due and cry,
Yet through the
refining storms, God’s love will carry you,
Catching you in your
fall as tempest flies.
Lessons learned again
now etched deep in your heart,
The path once a
thought, hurriedly turns to text,
From fleeting messages
to significant segments start,
As pages become worn
with age and life’s effects.
A storied book of
reflection, of anguished struggle and divine grace,
At first, its
bitterness, incomprehensible, and hard to bear,
Yet as the years pass,
a new light through the brokenness can trace,
A different view, a
wisdom found with care.
Few readers return,
though first they turn away,
Finding in the book, a
possibility, solace, perhaps a voice that’s true,
Through broken lines
and gentle words that sway,
A bread crumb guide
where hope has been for those who’ve traveled, worn, and bruised.
So now, the pilgrim
humbly, soberly, pens their own life-threaded tale,
No more to control, but
a surrender whole,
Life’s illusion fades,
its truth prevails,
Through the broken,
yielding to the Divine, the journey molds the soul.
