The Steps of a Wandering Heart
I’ve been reflecting on
my life today,
On where I stand, the
path that led my way,
Reconciling my past,
learning what’s true,
Choosing a future with
a clearer view.
Bread of adversity,
water of pain,
Through depths of
despair, through hidden terrain,
My Creator knows my
name, my heart’s cry,
He knows my journey,
and guides me on high.
They said love alone
could never be enough,
But now I see, that
truth is rough.
Without love, we are
powerless and lost,
It’s love that
transforms, no matter the cost.
Humbly I wonder, who am
I to be,
In the hands of the One
who created me?
May my struggles be
worship, my trials light,
May I be molded to
shine ever bright.
Every bond we hold will
face its strain,
None of us immune to
the touch of pain.
But in surrender to
divine Love’s embrace,
We find a strength to
endure the race.
It starts with today,
then the days that come,
As weeks turn to
months, we see what’s begun.
With sacred pause, we
look back and see,
How far He has carried
you and me.
With courage to change,
cast aside that which weighs you down, a heart that’s bare,
Step forward boldly,
your promised land is there.
The most important
steps we take in life:
The first, towards the
light,
The steps towards
truth,
Towards love, towards
self,
To stand once more,
To the call that’s
yours,
To the one you adore.
So tread with care,
with humble tread,
On the path where you
are gently led.
