From Brokenness to Warrior
In the echoes of naive
belief, I see
A longing for love, for
you, for me.
Yet in your eyes, a
different view,
A distortion of the
love we knew.
You captured my heart,
a singular sight,
But lost within your
own plight.
A house of mirrors,
reflections untold,
Trapping you within
your own stronghold.
Broken from past
traumas, yes,
But not defined by our
distress.
Love and healing,
freely given,
From one broken soul to
another driven.
Will you step out from
behind your mask?
Embrace the truth,
remove the task.
The little girl lost,
beckon to His voice,
Find the courage, make
the choice.
Do you know your worth,
your truth?
Or trapped behind
illusions, uncouth?
You’re capable of love,
of self,
Beyond the confines of
doubt and stealth.
I know who I am, and
Whose I am,
Not deceived by apathy
or sham.
In brokenness, strength
is found,
Love’s vision clear,
profound.
Remorse for choices, I
can’t say,
But love’s light still
guides the way.
Never too far gone, of
worth untold,
In love’s embrace, our
souls unfold.
Though you may see a
little boy,
God sees a warrior,
full of joy.
I loved freely, from my
true essence,
Seeing the woman, your
blind presence.
God knows my soul,
where I stand,
Not lost, but held
within His hand.
Though tears may fall,
hope remains,
For new beginnings,
free from chains.
So take my hand,
embrace the new,
It’s never too late, to
start anew.
