A Creed for Renewal and Healing

By:Nathan Fletcher

We believe
we were created whole,
yet learned to live fractured and bent,
shaped by love and by loss,
by what was given
and what was never meant.
We believe
our lives are not problems to fix,
not systems to force into place,
for hands may repair what is broken,
but only God heals by His grace.
We believe
that forgiveness is not where it ends,
but where freedom truly begins,
that Christ does not merely erase our past,
He renews the mind within.
We believe
that strongholds can fall,
old grids can be torn apart,
that no soul is obsolete,
no life beyond a new start.
We believe
that performance is not righteousness,
perfection is not what makes us whole,
that grace was never meant to leave us unchanged,
but to reauthor the soul.
We believe
that awareness is holy,
confession a doorway of light,
that surrender is strength in disguise,
and truth is a Person, not a fight.
We believe
the Spirit still breaks every chain,
still heals what we learned to hide,
still speaks where fear once ruled,
still restores what shame denied.
We believe
the old has passed,
the new is near,
renewal is present…not distant or unclear.
We believe
that God is doing a good work even now,
not someday, not only when Christ appears,
but here in this life,
in these minds,
in these hearts,
in these years.
And we choose
not to strive,
not to pretend,
not to live half awake or confined,
but to walk in the healing
only God can give,
and guard what He renews
within our minds.
Amen.
